Who Is TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
